Weekend Schmeekend....

Okay so I officially quit trying to do WW on the weekends.... well not officially quit, but it is tough! I am not doing that great at it!! I have no clue how to get myself together either! LOL Especially on loooong weekends.... I def. noticed that I do make some better choices automatically along with not eating sooooo much of one thing, so that is something different for me!


I went out Friday night for a little bit for my friend Kristen's birthday.... It was fun! She sent this pic her and I and I thought the it was cute, so I decided to post it! It's funny to see myself looking skinnier. I do not feel that I look any different, but then I see pics and I am pleasantly surprised. It's weird!

Hope that everyone had a great weekend and I hope that this week of rain flies by! Only 15 days left of work for me and I can't wait... I am def. looking forward to spending alot of time hanging with my girlfriends and going to the beach! I'm TRYING my best to get out of my funk, get out of my debt, eat better, run, walk, crunch, do dips, push-ups, lunges, squats, jumping jacks, walk the dog etc, etc, etc.....


I will try to remember my food for the weekend.... I'm sure I missed a few peanut M&M's here and there :)

2 point Mojito!


One of my girlfriends just sent me this recipe for this fabulous 2 pt. mojito!! It sounds so good!!! and looks even better!

Weight Watcher Mojito Recipe
Ingredients:- 1.5 oz Bacardi Rum- 12 fresh spearmint leaves- 1/2 lime- 7 oz sprite zero or club soda- 2 tbsp. Splenda
Directions:In a cool tall glass, muddle the mint, Splenda and lime juice. Add crushed ice. Add rum, soda and stir well. Garnish with a lime wedge and a few sprigs of mint. Serve and enjoy!
Recipe makes 1 servingEach serving = 2 point value

Okay..Round 59539529

Well, obviously my fresh start over the weekend didn't go so well. I am still in a funk...trying to shake it! Each day goes up and down and up and down... Ugh... I just wish that I could jump into the future to see where it will lead me and know that everything is going to be allright.... BUT that's not how things work, so here I am trucking along day by day reminding myself that everything happens for a reason and I will be okay :)

With that being said...whenever you are in a funk, you turn to your Best Friends to pull you through...well my best friend just happens to be about 11 months preggo...she was due on Friday! Poor thing.... but needless to say we had a preggo style eating filled weekend! From hoagies and chips all the way to a reese's peanut butter cup blizzard! YUM to the UM!! I did happen to get two five mile run/walks in and a couple salads as well but most of my food choices weren't the best....I mean they tasted the best but weren't the best for me :)

So anyway... I'm going to try Round 59539529 today!
Started the morning off with tea and a 100 calorie English muffin with spray butter, lunch is a lean cuisine...and then dinner is back with the preggy again...who knows what she has in store for us! hahahah

OMG Delish...Burger stuffed with Laughing Cow 4 pts!

Hungry Girl's:
Outside-In Cheeseburger Patty
PER SERVING (1 patty): 179 calories, 6.5g fat, 502mg sodium, 1.5g carbs, 0g fiber, 1g sugars, 26.5g protein -- POINTS® value 4*

Ingredients:4 oz. raw extra-lean ground beef
1 wedge The Laughing Cow Light Original Swiss cheese, room temperature
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
dash salt, or more to tastedash black pepper, or more to taste

Directions:In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients except the cheese. Add as much salt and pepper as you like. Knead mixture by hand until integrated. Form into a ball and, using your thumb, make a large, hollow indentation in the ball (past the center but not all the way through). Fill the hole with cheese and squeeze the meat to seal, making sure no cheese is exposed. Flatten slightly into a thick patty.
Bring a pan misted with nonstick spray to medium-high heat on the stove. (Use a grill pan if you've got one.) Place patty in the pan, cover, and cook for 4 - 7 minutes per side, depending on how well done you like your burger.
Heads Up: Don't press on the patty with your spatula (your burger might ooze cheese!).
Serve however you like your burger... We like ours with ketchup and pickles between giant leaves of lettuce!

Babble Babble

Whenever I'm away from the computer, I always think of a million things that I want to write about...then I sit at the computer and NOTHING....what the heck.... 2 random things....

I did want to write about my skinny caramel latte from Starbucks.(3 points for a grande, 2 points for a tall) .. I didn't like the skinny vanilla one, but for some reason the caramel one sounded fantabulous today.... so I got it and I don't really like it...LOL if you like coffee, you will def. enjoy....I think next time I would get extra caramel..... but better yet, I'll just stick to my morning tea from DD, can't go wrong with that one! Delish!

Another thing..... Weigh in day has been changed to Friday. My two girlfriends and I decided last night... Monday weigh in's are too annoying...so now we will be able to enjoy the weekends :) I def. think that it was good to do for the beginning, b/c it held me more accountable on the weekends but now I'm feeling pretty confident that I will do okay so I am good with moving weigh in to fridays :) I should have listened to my 9 and 3/4 months preggo gfriend from the beginning who always weighed in on thursday nights (she was the original WW'er in the crew pre-preggoness) and said I was nuts for a Monday weigh in :) I do think it was good for awhile though but it's time for a change!

Since we changed weigh in day we had to change our bonus points for this week too... what we did was divide our bonus points by 7 days of the week, so it's 5 extra points a day that you get each week we will get 20 bonus points for the rest of this week (we took 5 pts. off for Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and then weigh on Friday...so Friday will start with the extra 35 and things will be normal from then :) Think that's right! :)

Weirdest...

So I wore my jeans last night for a couple hours and when I was wearing them I wasn't super happy with them. The one seam on my right leg was goofy and they were starting to stretch out and I wasn't in love with the color. They just didn't feel as rewarding as they should of if that makes any sense.... they kind of just seemed like another old pair of normal jeans... so when I got home, I decided that today I would take them back and start over looking for a new pair.... So with that being said, I went back to Old Navy this morning and returned the jeans, then headed back to the jean section and grabbed a million different pairs in 6's and ready for this.....one pair in 4! My friend told me the other day that someone told her that since jeans always seem to stretch try them in a smaller size. So I figured what the hell, I'll try them... Well I went into the dressing room with my 4 million pairs of jeans and began to try them on. I got to the 3rd pair and it was the 4's, so I figured here goes nothing....assumed they would stop at my thigh and that would be that... BUT that didn't happen, they came all the way up and buttoned just fine... WHAT THE HECK is going on??? So I asked one of the girls working in the fitting room if she could grab me a pair of the ones that I really liked in a 4, she brought them back and I put them on. They were def a bit snug in the thigh area, but fit everywhere else. I kind of just stood in the dressing room thinking are they too tight, am I being silly, are they labeled wrong, I needed someone else's opinion... so I opened the fitting room door, took a deep breathe and asked the girl and guy working there what they thought... they told me they looked great and the best part was when a girl came walking up from behind and said, they fit you perfect, I wish jeans fit me that nice... That was def. when I realized all of this hard work is soooooooooo worth it :) Now if I could just get my brain to think that I looked that nice in the jeans!

Hmmm... I wonder if I can fit in 4's what the heck size do the skinny girls wear????? negative 4's ??? Anyway, that was the weirdest experience ever.... Very surreal and super exciting to me and I just wanted to share.....
I never knew that losing 15-20 pounds can make such a difference, I have no clue why I waited 31 years to find out.... 3 months for 31 years... WOW! Have a great Saturday!!

OMG

So I went to Old Navy today and bought myself size 6 jeans and 2 pairs of size 6 capris......... Never in my life have I worn a size 6...not in grade school, high school, college, after college, in my O's, 10's, teens, 20's or now in my 30's UNTIL............ TODAY!! Woo Hoo :)

Black Bean Brownies



My friend made the brownies with the can of black beans that I found on Gina's Weight Watcher Recipes http://weight-watchers-points-recipes.blogspot.com/2008/06/black-bean-brownies-2-pts.html and they are soooooooooo good! I attached a picture with a bite taken out, I had to taste to be able to tell you what I thought :) They are a pretty good size for only 2 points and really rich and creamy. Great work!
